A scene went through my head in which two people are debating whether to play or not. Since I didn't know what it was all about, I just started composing.

As the song began to take shape, I realized that this could be the soundtrack for a video game. So I deliberately steered the sounds in this direction.

This also laid the foundation for the artwork. It was finished before the track and it fits perfectly.
